• Who is ReactPanda?

  We're a small team of senior engineers based out of Atlanta, GA with decades of cumulative experience working across various verticals and with companies and projects of all sizes. We've consulted for companies such as Delta, The Home Depot, Wells Fargo and more. All work is supervised and reviewed by me

• What is a request and how is it scoped?

  A request is the equivalent to a story in agile. Below are a few examples of valid & invalid requests, but in short it's a unit of work that can be implemented and tested within 2-3 days. For requests that are too large, we can work with you to break them down into smaller units of work.

  Valid Requests (Scoped Appropriately):

  • As a developer, I want to refactor the login component to improve code readability and maintainability.

    This focuses on a specific component and is achievable within the 2-3 day time frame.

  • As a user, I want a responsive navigation bar that adapts to mobile and desktop views.

    This addresses a single feature with clear deliverables, making it easy to complete in a short time.

  • As a product owner, I want to implement client-side form validation to improve user experience.

    This targets a specific functionality with a clear objective, fitting well within a few days of work.

  • As a developer, I want to integrate a new API endpoint for fetching user profiles.

    This involves implementing and testing a specific API integration, which is manageable in 2-3 days.

  • As a user, I want the homepage to load within 2 seconds by optimizing image assets.

    This focuses on performance improvement with a measurable outcome, suitable for quick execution.

  Invalid Requests (Not Scoped Appropriately):

  • As a user, I want a complete redesign of the website to improve the overall user experience.

    This is too broad and complex, likely requiring weeks to complete, rather than a few days.

  • As a product owner, I want to implement user authentication, authorization, and profile management features.

    This combines multiple features into one story, making it too large for a 2-3 day scope.

  • As a developer, I want to migrate the entire application to a new tech stack for better performance.

    A full migration is a significant project that cannot be completed in a few days.

  • As a product owner, I want to create a comprehensive analytics dashboard with real-time data visualization.

    This involves multiple components and likely requires a longer timeframe.

    This task involves multiple layers and is not feasible within a 2-3 day scope.

• How do you maintain high quality work?

  We limit our client base to 5 to ensure the highest quality of work.

• How do we communicate and manage the project?

  Upon signing up, you'll receive an invite to your dedicated Trello project where you can begin adding requests. Any comments, feedback, prioritization, labeling is done in Trello. Other communication is done via email. We can also use any project management tool you're currently using if you prefer that over Trello.

  Requests are worked on one at a time. Once satisfied with the acceptance criteria for a request, the next is worked on and so on. If not satisfied, we'll continue iterating on that request until you're satisfied.

• How quickly will work get done?

  For the Starter plan, expect weekly delivery of a single request or until satisfied with the request. For the Pro plan, expect delivery for a single request on average between 2-3 days or until satisfied. If requests are too large in scope, we can help you break them down to individual requests.

• Why can't I just hire a full-time developer?

  Hiring a full-time developer is a great option for long-term, ongoing projects, but it can be costly and time-consuming to find the right fit.   We strive to provide timely and high-quality work but if for any reason we're not a good fit, we can provide a one-time pro-rated refund.
